Rembert Biemond

Rembert Biemond was born on July 17, 1958, in Warmond, Netherlands. He is a Dutch entrepreneur and consultant with extensive experience in various industries, particularly in agriculture, food, and strategic management. Rembert is married to Dr. Med. Andrea Gerretsen Biemond, a physician, and has two sons, Dimitri and Jonas, who are now adults.

He completed his schooling from 1964 to 1977 at the Vrije School in The Hague. He then studied economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and earned a Master of Science (MSc.) in Management and Organization from the University of Groningen in 1983.

Rembert Biemond began his professional career in higher education before transitioning to management consulting. From 1983 to 1986, he served as Executive Manager at Hogeschool Leiden. In the following years, he held various leadership positions, including CEO of the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland, and CEO of Lehmann Natur in Germany, where he successfully led the company to profitability.

In 2015, he founded REMBERT BIEMOND AB, a boutique consulting firm specializing in strategic issues, interim and project management, as well as fundraising. His work focuses on sustainable agriculture and innovative food projects.

Rembert Biemond also holds numerous non-executive board positions, including as Vice Chairman of SEKEM Holding for Investment in Egypt and President of the Board of Trustees of the Edith Maryon Foundation in Switzerland. He is known for his intercultural skills and his experience in the international business world, which has taken him to several countries in Europe, North and South America, and Asia.

In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Rembert Biemond is also active as a speaker, author, and publisher. He speaks several languages, including German, English, Dutch, and Swedish, and has basic knowledge of French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Arabic. His ability to see both the big picture and work in detail distinguishes him as a leader.
